Sixth-graders Participate in “Healthy Visions”

Sixth-graders recently took part in Healthy Visions, a youth development organization that hosts programs teaching pre-teens and teens the critical skills and knowledge needed to make healthier behavioral choices and develop stronger relationships. Healthy Visions is part of the Middle School’s programming for students in grades 6-8 that focuses on development of healthy relationships and issues associated with growing up. “Our sixth-grade students enjoyed their time with our Healthy Visions presenter, Dra White,” said Middle School counselor Taylor Markovits. “During his sessions, Dra focused on differentiating qualities of healthy and unhealthy relationships, various types of romantic interest (crush, infatuation, love), using assertive communication and ‘I’ language to set boundaries, as well as digital safety and citizenship.”
