Jennifer Burgoyne Named New Girls Basketball Coach

Jennifer Burgoyne has been named the new girls varsity basketball coach. She is taking over for Tyler Mcllwraith, who has coached since 2009.

“Although it is tough to step aside from this amazing program, it is gratifying when you know the next coach comes from our Stinger family and has the background and experience to continue building this program,” Mcllwraith said.

Burgoyne has served as an assistant and head coach for the junior varsity girls basketball teams. She played at the collegiate level, leading the nation in field goal percentage and taking Thomas More College to the DIII Tournament Elite Eight.

“I appreciate Coach Mcllwraith for everything she has taught me and the program she has built. I thank the Seven Hills community for allowing me to coach these young athletes. I’m honored, motivated, and ready to get after it. Go, Stingers!” Burgoyne said.

The girls varsity basketball team went 20-4 last season and was 14-0 in the Miami Valley Conference, winning the MVC Gray Division.
