Athletics

All year long, our teams are staying healthy and active, competing at a high level, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Quote Mark

State-of-the-art facilities, competitive teams, experienced coaches, dedicated fans, and a commitment to sportsman-like conduct define Seven Hills' Athletics program. We are #FiredUp!

Our Philosophy

At Seven Hills, our athletes and our facilities are championship quality. But what makes our athletics program stand out is that we’re all in it together. We believe that, in sports, developing strength, resilience, and friendship matters just as much as skills, agility, and strategy. We emphasize participation, the development of skills, and sportsmanship in grades one through six, so that we can field highly competitive teams in grades seven through 12. Our athletic department strives to provide exceptional programs, superior facilities, and skilled coaches, so that our athletes have the best opportunity to compete at a high level.

Scott Willard, Athletic Director

Our Approach

We believe that our students should explore as many roads as possible. It’s the best way to become familiar with their whole selves. We encourage them to participate in sports from a young age and more than 80 percent of our students in grades one through 12 participate on at least one team. With our no-cut policy and broad range of sports to choose from, if students want to compete, they join a team. They learn early on what it means to be students and athletes, and how to be responsible balancing the two.

This balance is essential to success as a student-athlete as they learn effective time management techniques, study skills, and proper dietary habits. Our coaches work as mentors on and off the field, guiding our students as they grow and learn lessons that will serve them well into adulthood.

And at the end of each season, students realize that they are part of something much more than a team. That’s what Stinger pride is all about.

Best regards,

Scott Willard
Seven Hills Athletic Director

Lower School

In these early years, we emphasize participation, skill development, and respect. As our students have fun learning their sports, they also develop friendships that will last well past their days in Lower School.

Middle School

By Middle School, many Seven Hills students have already learned fundamental athletic skills, as well as sportsmanship and respect. Even as the level of competition grows, all students, whether they’re newcomers or devoted players, are welcome on any of our teams.
