Two Campuses, One School

Two Campuses
The Seven Hills School is comprised of two campuses.

Our Doherty Campus, in East Walnut Hills, houses the Doherty division of Lower School (2-year-olds through grade 5).

Our Hillsdale Campus, in Madisonville, houses the Lotspeich division of our Lower School (2-year-olds through grade 5), the Middle School (grades 6-8), and Upper School (grades 9-12)

 

 

Doherty Campus

The Doherty Campus is the site of one of Seven Hills’ two Lower School divisions. This intimate, five-acre campus, home to our Doherty Lower School, is a perfect option for families who prefer that their children begin their education on a campus designed for students age 2 through grade 5, away from older grades.

Doherty Lower School Campus Facilities (pre-kindergarten for 2-year-olds through grade 5)

  • Haile Hall – Early childhood education for pre-kindergarten for 2-year-olds through kindergarten, Doherty Campus Early Childhood after school enrichment program called After the Bell
  • Jones Hall – Grades 1-5 classrooms, Spanish, Lower School library, computer lab, science lab, Creation Studio makerspace, green screen video production lab, Doherty Campus Lower School after school enrichment program called After the Bell
  • Doherty Library – Dedicated Lower School library with thousands of books, magazines, and print and electronic reference materials.
  • Faran Hall – Art, music, drama studios; science lab
  • Brooks Hall – Gymnasium, dining hall, performance stage
  • Outdoor instructional, athletic, and play spaces – Eco-garden, grass playing field, two large playscapes, including new large climbing frame play center
  • Technology – Each student in grades four and five is issued an iPad for use throughout the school year. Each student in grades three and under have in-school access to an iPad. All faculty have a MacBooks and iPads. Makerspace has two 3D printers. All classrooms are equipped with Apple TVs, and ceiling-mounted projectors.

Hillsdale Campus

The 44-acre Hillsdale Campus houses the Lotspeich division of our Lower School (2-year-olds through grade 5), the Middle School (grades 6-8), and Upper School (grades 9-12). The campus is comprised of 14 buildings, arranged into three sub-campuses, giving each division its own home and providing safe, stimulating spaces for students to learn and grow. A number of shared facilities for dining and community-building, the arts, athletics, and science and technology support the breadth of the school’s educational program.

Hillsdale Campus Facilities (pre-kindergarten for 2-year-olds through grade 12)

Hillsdale Campus, Shared Facilities
  • Founders Hall – Dining hall and performance space
  • Hillsdale Commons/Deck – Informal gathering spaces for Middle and Upper School students
  • Donovan Arts Center – Choral and instrumental music and drama rehearsal spaces, two art studios, exhibition space, and 150-seat black box theater
  • Schiff Center – 500-seat auditorium, music and theater classrooms, practice rooms 
  • Kalnow Gymnasium – Gymnasium/physical education facilities, locker rooms, and weight room
  • Stoehr Gymnasium – Two story gymnasium, gymnastics center, and physical education facility
  • Field House – Four full-size basketball/volleyball courts 
  • Outdoor Athletics – Three lighted turf soccer fields, two baseball and one softball field, 400-meter track, 10 court tennis complex 

 

Lotspeich Lower School facilities (2-year-olds through grade 5)
  • Nellie Leaman Taft Early Childhood Center – Nine classrooms, stage/performance space, kitchen, and muscle room, Hillsdale Campus Early Childhood after-school enrichment program called After the Bell
  • Lotspeich Building – 10 classrooms for grades 1-5, Project Math makerspace, technology lab, tutorial spaces, Hillsdale Campus Lower School after school enrichment program called After the Bell
  • Lotspeich Library – Dedicated Lower School library with 12,000 volumes and electronic research databases
  • Meckel Center – Music, art, and Spanish classrooms
  • Leyman Hall – Dedicated science lab and makerspace
  • Red Barn –Drama classroom and black box theater
  • Dellie’s Garden – Early Childhood outdoor education center, bird observation blinds, instructional gardens, climbing frame playscape, and tricycle paths

Middle School facilities (grades 6-8)
