Considerations for Prospective Students Requiring an F-1 Visa
- English proficiency: Applicants to Seven Hills must have highly developed English writing, reading, listening, and speaking skills, as measured by the Test of English Foreign Language (TOEFL). The Seven Hills curriculum does not include English as a second language (ESL) coursework.
- Tuition and Tuition Assistance: Seven Hills does not charge additional tuition or fees for international students. Students requiring a F-1 visa are not eligible for financial need or merit-based scholarships.
- Agency affiliation: To ensure the best care and oversight for our students, Seven Hills requires that families, for whom we have issued an F-1 visa, contract with an agency to supervise administrative matters and provide host family support for their child for the duration of their enrollment. Upon request, we will refer families to an agency.
International Student Application Process
- Create an account in our Admission Portal and complete the parent and student questionnaires.
- Submit the math and English teacher recommendation forms, a transcript request, and a principal recommendation to the applicant’s current school. The applicant’s current school should return these completed forms directly to The Seven Hills School.
- Submit scores from the TOEFL. The Seven Hills TOEFL code is 3290. We recommend that TOEFL iBT scores be 85 or above to be considered for admission.
- Submit scores from the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) with the writing sample. The Seven Hills ISEE code is 361005. There is no minimum score required for the ISEE. For additional information about the ISEE, refer to the Testing and Assessment webpage.
- When all application materials, recommendation forms, and standardized test scores have been received, we may request an online interview with the applicant student. If the student is accepted for admission, an enrollment contract will be issued.
- Seven Hills will issue a Form I-20, which is required to obtain a F-1 visa, after a signed enrollment contract and enrollment deposit are submitted.
