Affordability Initiative

Think a Seven Hills Education is beyond your reach? Think again.

There is no doubt about it — a private school education is a big investment, one that many families believe is out of range.

In truth, though, Seven Hills, like many of the nation’s leading schools, is committed to providing access to as many families as possible. As part of our Affordability Initiative, we have designed a Flexible Tuition program that gives families from many walks of life the advantage of a Seven Hills education.

Flexible Tuition enables families to apply for reduced tuition based on their financial circumstances. To calculate Flexible Tuition, we factor in the financial information, which is provided by the family, to arrive at a price that makes sense for that family’s financial situation.

two ways it might work for your family

Flexible tuition

Flexible Tuition is a need-based program that enables families to apply for reduced tuition based on their financial circumstances.

To assess a family’s eligibility for Flexible Tuition, Seven Hills asks all applicants to submit financial information to a third-party vendor, School and Student Services (SSS). SSS is a service of the National Association of Independent Schools and is used by more than 2,000 schools across the country.

To calculate a Flexible Tuition price for eligible families, SSS assesses the financial information provided by each family to arrive at a tuition price that makes sense for that family’s financial situation. The SSS software considers such factors as family income and savings, mortgage and other debt obligations, number of children. The threshold for eligibility is much higher than many families may think. Accordingly, we encourage all families who think they might be eligible to apply.

Flexible Tuition is not a loan program. At no time will the cost difference between full tuition and flexible tuition need to be paid.

MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

For families who may not be eligible for Flexible Tuition, Seven Hills also offers merit-based Scholar Awards.

These merit-based scholarships are awarded each year to a select group of Middle and Upper School students, new to The Seven Hills School, who show extraordinary academic, artistic, athletic, or leadership potential. Though the criteria, application process, scholarship amount, and duration vary by grade level, Scholar Awards range from $1,000 to $15,000 and may be renewable on a case-by-case basis.
