Second-graders Vote for Buckeye Book Award Nominees
Every year, students in kindergarten through high school from around the state of Ohio nominate and vote for their favorite books as part of the Buckeye Children’s and Teen Book Awards. Lotspeich librarian Lori Suffield helped students participate in the voting process. Recently, she read the five nominees in the kindergarten to grade 2 category to second-graders and asked them to vote on their favorite. She also asked students to rank the five books and give each one a star rating. The official winners of the Buckeye Book Awards will be announced in December.
