IMPORTANT SKILLS I WANT TO TEACH MY STUDENTS

I want my students to know that we can learn from other cultures and we can choose to incorporate ideas from other cultures that would improve our lives. I want my students to know that they are world citizens and to feel empowered to travel and learn from others.

TEACHING METHODS TO REACH THESE GOALS

We obviously study the French language and we use it in the classroom, and we compare and contrast the differences we encounter in the language and culture. We discuss the pros and cons that we note in a non-judgmental, open-minded way and it often ends up that we would ideally prefer a combination of the two!

MY FAVORITE PROJECTS

Our exchange program is a definite highlight. The opportunity gives our children a chance to live the language and culture that we study. It makes everything we do in the classroom come alive for them!

WHAT I LIKE BEST ABOUT TEACHING AT SEVEN HILLS

I love the warmth of this community. I love how we care for each other and help each other. I love the enthusiasm of our students and our teachers.
