“Fostering Growth Mindset” presented by the Lower School Counselors and Faculty
In order to work through challenges and disappointments, and get “unstuck”, children need to develop flexible thinking. Children learn from trial and error, as long as they develop the ability to persevere and look for new ways to solve problems. The classroom guidance curriculum builds this skill through direct instruction, and it is reinforced in content areas throughout the lower school curriculum. You will learn about growth mindset, see examples of how it is taught and applied in the lower school, and leave with specific and simple strategies to reinforce flexible thinking at home.

Location: simultaneous presentations at Doherty and Lotspeich
