Seven Hills wins six national Scholastic Writing & Arts Awards

Five Upper School students won six national awards in the Scholastic Writing & Arts Awards competition for their work across various writing categories, including poetry, critical essay, flash fiction, short story, and personal essay. Seven Hills tied for eighth place for the most national awards among high school throughout the country. Senior Annelise Hawgood and juniors Gabrielle Walker and Alice Bachelder each won a Gold Medal for their writing. Hawgood also won a Silver Medal, along with sophomore Claire Liu and junior Natalia Butler. Hawgood and Bachelder became only the second and third Seven Hills students to win a national medal in multiple years. In the regional Scholastic Writing Awards competition, 110 Seven Hills Upper and Middle School students were recognized with 204 regional awards, the most of the 41 schools competing in the Southern Ohio Northern Kentucky Region. Thirty Seven Hills students, including two Middle Schoolers, won Gold Keys, which automatically entered them into consideration for the national awards.
