11 Students Named National Merit Finalists

Eleven Upper School seniors were named finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Competition. Congrats to Anna Kunkel, Ahalya Nambiar, Nick Patel, Evelyn Quint, Nicholas Roblyer, Sydney Schneider, Sophia Schuermeyer, Kyle Wang, Brett Woffington, Keliang Yao, and Andrew Zhou.

Co-Director of College Counseling Alex Catalan commended the students for their achievement.

“We’re incredibly proud of our students for earning recognition as National Merit finalists, a wonderful accomplishment that reflects not only their dedication and talent, but also the outstanding support of the Seven Hills faculty,” Catalan said.

In total, 20 students received recognition from by National Merit this year, accounting for 19% of the Class of 2025.

“Year after year, we are proud to have one of the region’s highest percentages of National Merit honorees,” Co-Director of College Counseling Julie DiRoma said.

Students qualify for recognition in the National Merit program with their scores on the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. To be considered for the Merit Scholarship award, the finalists must fulfill several requirements.
