Upper School Students Learn the Art of Animation

Upper students in Jason Knarr’s Film and Animation class spent their time learning the basics of Adobe Premiere and storyboarding while others began finalizing their class projects.  Because students can re-enroll multiple times, Knarr creates specialized instruction to meet students’ skills. “We meet kids where they are and push them forward,” Knarr said. The multi-leveled classroom enables students to bounce ideas off peers which expands their creativity.  Advanced students will submit their films to Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, and beginning animation students will submit their works to the All-American High School Film Festival.
