Unit III Students Learn About Courage with 9/11 Memorial Walk

Doherty Unit III students walked a mile around campus and hung badges in the courtyard tunnel in silence to honor the courage of a 9/11 first responder. Stephen Siller was a New York City firefighter, who was leaving the station when he heard about what was happening and returned for his gear. He attempted to drive through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel but it was closed so he ran nearly three miles to ground zero. Siller gave his life saving others.  Students gathered in the courtyard to talk about courage, unity, and the importance of remembering and learning about 9/11.
