Track competes at State, wins at districts

Four members of the co-ed varsity track team competed at the state tournament on June 2. The 4×200 relay team of freshmen Claire Bachelder and Amelia Schnirring and juniors Margret Schnirring and Callie Drew finished 15th overall. At Regionals, the relay team finished in third place and set a new school record. Junior Carter Stevens also competed at Regionals, earning his best time of the season in the 800 meter. At the district meet, the 4×200 relay team and Stevens in the 800 were champions. The 4×400 relay team of Bachelder, Drew, Margret Schnirring, and freshman Sabrina Donovan finished second. Drew came in third in the 200 meter. Amelia Schnirring finished fourth in the 100 members and Bachelder finished fourth in the 400 meter. Sophomore Brady O’Connor finished fourth in the 110 hurdles, setting a new school record. The 4×400 boys relay team of Stevens, O’Connor, freshman Malcolm Faison, and sophomore Ryan Brackett finished fourth.
