Super Bowl Lessons in Unit I

Using the Super Bowl, students in Amy Kulhavik’s Unit I class practiced their history, writing, math, and art skills. They learned about the history of the big game, wrote letters to their favorite football players, and created a construction paper Bengals player for Doherty’s Super Bowl bulletin board. Each student made predictions about who would win the game — all chose the Bengals, of course — and what the score would be. They then used their math skills to graph their score predictions.
