Stingers place third at MVC swim meet

The Stingers had a strong showing at the Miami Valley Conference swim meet on Feb. 5. The girls team finished third overall with many excellent individual performances. Senior Corinne Kieser won the 200 freestyle and placed second in the 50 freestyle. Senior Ella Jo Piersma won the 100 butterfly and placed second in the 200 individual medley. Junior Josie Domet won the 100 freestyle and finished second in the 50 freestyle. Junior Carolyn Wolujewicz finished third in the 100 freestyle with freshmen Josie Schneider and Raine Ellerman right behind in fifth and sixth place. In the 100 backstroke, Schneider finished second and Wolujewicz finished fifth. The relay team of Kieser, Wolujewicz, Domet, and Piersma won the 400 freestyle and finished second in the 200 freestyle. For the boys, junior Sam Adams finished third in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
