Softball leads division
The girls varsity softball team sits atop the MVC Gray Conference with an in-conference record of 5-0 and an overall record of 7-2. Sophomore Annie Katuska pitched a no-hitter in the Stingers’ 15-0 win over Lockland on April 20. Senior Julia Tamai went 3-for-4 at the plate, with three runs and six RBIs. In the April 18 win over Cincinnati Country Day, the Stingers scored five runs in five innings and stole 13 bases, four by junior Alexa Kecman alone. Katuska is currently leading the MVC in pitching wins with six and strikeouts with 85. At the plate, she is also leading with 25 RBIs and is tied for first with Tamai for home runs, both with five.
