Softball had nine-game Win Streak

Once the rain finally stopped, the varsity softball team was able to take the field and went on a nine-game win streak. The Stingers first beat Cincinnati Christian 22-6. In the game against Indian Hill, the Stingers won 23-2. Senior Caitlin Drew went 3-4 at bat, with a single, double, and triple and three stolen bases. Freshman pitcher Annie Katuska had six strikeouts. The team then defeated Cincinnati Country Day with a score of 25-4. Katuksa had 12 strikeouts and zero earned runs. Sophomore Erin Pierani went 3-5 at bat with a single, a double, and six RBIs. Sophomore Alexa Kecman went 2-3 with four RBIs. The Stingers then defeated St. Bernard – Elmwood Place 23-6. Freshman pitcher Brogan Bell had her first win with six strikeouts. Junior Julia Tamai went 3-3 at bat with a homerun and four RBIs. The Stingers beat Cincinnati Christian again with a score of 22-4 and Katuska had 12 strikeouts. Katuska had her first and second shutouts in the 10-0 and 14-0 wins over Lockland and her first no-hitter in the 11-0 win over Purcell Marian. In the 10-5 win over Cincinnati Country Day, junior Shanaya Bharucha had three RBIs. The Stingers ended the regular season with a record of 9-1 and faced Norwood in their first postseason game.
