Seven Seniors Named National Merit Semifinalists

The Seven Hills School is pleased to announce seven Seven Hills seniors were named National Merit Semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. 

The Seven Hills School congratulates the following National Merit Semifinalists: Shanaya Bharucha, Elias Buttress, Catherine McAndrew, Rohan Nambiar, Neel Parameswaran, Jack Ringel, and Evan VordemEsche. 

Seven Hills also has six National Merit Commended Scholars: Logan Bien, Saahil Chunduri, Abigail Li, Emily Rosenfeld, and Julia Tamai.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an annual academic competition that honors academically talented U.S. high school students. Students qualify for recognition in the National Merit program with their scores on the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. 

Finalists will be competing for one of 2,500 National Merit Scholarships. Merit scholars are chosen based on their abilities, skills, and accomplishments. Winners will be announced in late spring. 

Seven Hills also had five students receive College Board National Recognition Awards based on their PSAT/NMSQT or AP exam scores. Juniors Gabrielle Walker, Nathan Walker, Lidya Tesfaye, and Ronan Blair received the National African American Recognition Award. Junior Oliver Szabo received the National Hispanic Recognition Award.
