Seven Hills Dedicates The Wyant Family Squash Center

Seven Hills officially opened and dedicated The Wyant Family Squash Center, the largest squash facility of any high school in the Cincinnati area. The Seven Hills squash program began as a student-led effort three years ago and has only grown in popularity since. The four-court squash facility in Stoehr Gym will be used as the Middle and Upper School teams’ home courts and as part of Seven Hills’ physical education curriculum.

“It’s been really exciting to have a team in high school. Thank you to everyone who donated; without you, this would really have not been possible. It was a dream my freshman year for me and my sister, Aanya,” said Upper School senior and squash team captain Aanvi Anand.

Head of School Chris Garten thanked the donors, including alumni Peg and Jack Wyant; everyone who helped fund and build the courts; and the Middle and Upper School squash players and coaches.

“Opening these courts today allows us to launch our own full-fledged squash program. We really want to provide an opportunity to introduce the game to all our students. Our hope is to spark an interest in a game our students can play throughout their adult lives and have them be part of a community,” Garten said.
