teaching philosophy

important skills I want to teach my students

Resiliency. The Upper School years are filled with many exciting changes and challenges, academically and emotionally, but when students learn to persevere I know they can reach their full potential.

teaching methods to reach these goals

I work with students, parents and faculty over the course of the four years of Upper School. This time affords me the opportunity to really get to know each student individually and in group settings. I get to experience both the successes and the disappointments with the students and can counsel them about learning from both.

my favorite project

Helping the eight-graders transition to the Upper School is one of my favorite projects of the year. This work begins at the start of the second semester in eighth grade and is an opportunity for me to aid the eighth-graders in finding their passions in the Upper School.

What i like best about teaching at Seven Hills

I love the fact that students and faculty are excited to come to school each day. The energy and enthusiasm students bring to everything they do at Seven Hills is a gift and I feel privileged to be a part of their experience.
