Fourth grader wins Spelling Bee
Fourth grader Henry Liu was crowned champion of the Doherty spelling bee on Feb. 10 for correctly spelling simplicity. The top five finishers from the two homeroom bees, held in December, went on to compete in the school-wide final. Fourth grader Sarah Hassell came in second and fifth grader Lola Fulham-Fitzgeraldcame in third. Other spellers were fourth graders Hansika Malyala, Kishan King, and Leo Kampel, and fifth graders Sophia Liu, Anjali Bhattacharya, Zach Veronica, and Logan Bauman.
