Seven Hills senior Adam Buford, also a National Merit Semifinalist, was named a Semifinalist in the National Achievement Scholarship competition today, Sept. 24. Adam is one of 1,600 African-American student applicants – about 1 percent of whom have been designated Semifinalists in the National Achievement Scholarship Program. Adam will now have an opportunity to compete for approximately 800 Achievement Scholarship awards totaling about $2.5 million that will be offered next spring.
