Author Stacy McAnulty visited Doherty

Author Stacy McAnulty visited the Doherty library to tell the pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students about her life, work, family, and the process of becoming a writer. McAnulty told the students how she went from being a mechanical engineer designing first class airline seats to being a picture, children’s, and chapter book author after her first child was born. She walked the students through how she gets the idea for, researches, and writes nonfiction books, like her Our Universe Series, which tells the stories of the planets in the solar system from the perspective of the planets.
