Two Stingers Reach 1,000 Points

Seniors Terrance Yarbrough and Reagan Licata both reached 1,000 career points for the boys and girls basketball teams within days of each other.

“For one player to reach 1,000 points in a high school basketball career is remarkable. For two Stingers to reach this milestone in the same season, let alone a four-day span, makes Seven Hills history,” said Athletic Director Scott Willard.

Yarbrough passed 1,000 points on Jan. 31 against Lockland. He is averaging 18.8 points per game this season.

Licata scored her 1,000th point on Feb. 3 against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. She is leading the Miami Valley Conference in points per game with 19.8.

“Because Reagan and Terrance have worked just as hard in the classroom and our community as they have on the court, they are without question incredible student-athletes that we should all be very proud of,” Willard said.

After hearing about their incredible achievement, the two were interviewed by local media and appeared on Fox19 and Local 12. They also won Greater Cincinnati’s McDonald’s Players of the Week.
