Lower School art spotlight
The Lower Schools budding artists are growing their talents! In art teacher Kacey Watkins’ class, Doherty’s Unit I students crafted line sculptures utilizing the creative use of space, colors, and shapes. In art teacher Jody Knoop’s class, fifth graders brought their sunflower drawings to life by using careful color placement, highlights, and shadows.

Doherty Unit III drumming their own song
Doherty Unit III students practiced singing along and drumming to the beat of “The Swapping Song” during music teacher Maria Enyon’s class. After each verse, students were tasked with finding a new place to drum their beat, from the floor to the backs of chairs, to the walls, and more!
