Upper School performs “Almost, Maine”
The Upper School’s spring production, “Almost, Maine,” was an emotional anthology of nine short plays that explored love and loss in a remote, mythical almost-town called Almost, Maine. Bravo to the wonderful cast and crew, Upper School theater teacher Marc Raia, and Middle and Upper School technical theater director Trey Tatum.

UPPER SCHOOL INSTRUMENTAL CONCERT
The Schiff Center was filled with the sounds of violins, cellos, flutes, and much more in early May during the Upper School’s Symphonic and Contemporary Ensembles concerts. The Symphonic Ensemble played four arrangements, including “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “It’s All About Time,” and “Rhapsody in Blue.” The Contemporary Ensemble played five arrangements, including “Free Ride,” and “Moondance,” as well as “Always There.” The evening was an amazing culmination of a semester of hard work. Congratulations to our student musicians and instrumental teacher John Rising!

MIDDLE SCHOOL INSTRUMENTAL CONCERT
The Middle School Instrumental Ensembles serenaded The Schiff Center in early May with a concert featuring a variety of technically challenging songs. The sixth grade ensemble kicked off the concert with “Sing Sing Sing,” “Conquer the Kraken,” and “Never Gonna Give You Up.” The seventh grade ensemble started its set with “Mr. Blue Sky” and ended with a joint performance of the “Jump Jive An’ Wail” with the eighth graders. The eighth grade ensemble closed the show with a wide range of musical stylings, including the “Soul Bossa,” “Evil Ways,” and the “Pink Panther” theme song. Congratulations to our student musicians and instrumental teacher John Rising!

UPPER SCHOOL CHOrus CONCERT
The Upper School Chorus performed a wide array of songs that incorporated percussion, and soloists during their mid-May spring concert. Vocalists sang a number of songs, from Wicked’s “For Good” to “Yemaya Asesu” to “The Parting Glass,” which is part of Seven Hills’ Upper School choral tradition during the spring concert. Choral Director Tina Kuhlman and the Upper School Chorus also honored retiring Upper School Choral Accompanist Lynne Miller. Congratulations to our students, to Kuhlman, Miller, and to Technical Director Trey Tatum.

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHORus CONCERT
The Middle School Chorus enthralled an awe-struck audience in The Schiff Center in mid-May with 15 beautiful selections that spanned languages, tugged at audience members’ heartstrings, and sparkled with joyful passion. The lively concert included the sixth graders’ performance of “Cantamos,” “Can You Hear Me?” and “Dance Monkey.” The seventh and eighth graders’ songs spanned traditional tunes such as “Battle of Kings Mountain” to modern melodies such as “City of Stars” from the movie “La La Land.” Choral Director Tina Kuhlman and the Upper School Chorus also honored retiring Upper School Choral Accompanist Lynne Miller. Congratulations to our students, to Kuhlman, Miller, and to Technical Director Trey Tatum.
