Arts Alive! a great success!
The Inaugural Seven Hills ‘ARTS ALIVE!’ Fine and Performing Arts Festival was an absolute thrill! Middle and Upper School students amazed their audiences with emotional and hilarious monologues in the Black Box theater, upbeat musical numbers in The Schiff Center, and fantastic drawings and paintings displayed in the Donovan Arts Center. Bravo!

Upper School chorus travels to Disney
In mid-March, the Upper School chorus performed at Disney World alongside choruses from across the country. Seven Hills wowed the crowd with their performances of “There’s a Fine Fine Line,” from Avenue Q, “Cantique de Jean Racine,” by Faure, “Take Me Home,” by Pentatonix, and many more. Bravo!

Freshman wins first place in International Competition at Carnegie Hall
Freshman Boris Vorono won first place in the International Competition for the Golden Classical Music Awards at Carnegie Hall in early March. Vorono played Franz Schubert’s “Sonata in A Major, Op.120, I. Allegro moderato.” Congratulations!

Seventh grader wins third place at international guitar competition
Seventh grader Beckett Ceron placed third in the youth division at the Indiana International Guitar Festival and Competition at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in early April. Ceron played “Tiento Antiguo” by Joaquin Rodrigo and “Prelude 1” by Heitor Villa-Lobos. Participants were evaluated on several parameters, including technical accuracy, musicality, and fluency of playing. Congratulations!

Eighth grader’s artwork featured at the Cincinnati art museum
Eighth grader Grace Kennedy was selected from more than 300 applicants from 60 area schools as one of the artists to be featured at the Cincinnati Art Museum Teen Expo. Under the competition’s theme “My Culture,” Kennedy visually expressed how she presents her identity, her community, and more. Her artwork will be on display in the third floor gallery from April 26 to May 8 during museum hours. Congratulations!
