Lower School STEAM fair
Our Lower School STEAM Fair was a resounding success! Lower School students immersed themselves in various STEAM activities and games at stations throughout the Middle School. Seventh and eighth graders played a crucial role in leading each station and explaining its mechanics to the eager STEAM explorers. Thank you to all of our volunteers for ensuring this event was a success.
Fourth Grade learns about Robotics
Fourth graders dove into learning robotics during Jacquie Bertings’s Project Math class in early February. Using the LEGO Essential SPIKE Kits, students paired up to create and program different types of carnival games, like mini-golf, pinball machines, and bowling. Through the engaging collaborative process, fourth graders strengthened their understanding of various fundamental scientific principles, such as energy, force, and motion. After the fourth graders finish their robotics unit, the fifth graders will begin theirs in mid-February.
