Tennis places third at State

At the Ohio state tennis competition on May 27-28, the doubles team of sophomores John Corbett and Ethan Blatt placed third. Sophomore Avi Mahajan competed in singles and made it to the second round. Mahajan won the Miami Valley Conference district tournament and Corbett and Blatt placed fourth in doubles.

Girls Lacrosse competes in state Tournament

The girls varsity lacrosse team made it to the second round of the state tournament after defeating Cincinnati Country Day 12-8. The team had numerous milestones throughout the season. Freshman goalie Quincy Morris made 100 saves. Senior captain Alexis Veldhuis had her 200th draw control and her 200th goal. She will be going on to play lacrosse at the University of Chicago next year.

Track competes at Regionals

The varsity track team competed at the regional tournament in late May. Sophomore Callie Drew placed sixth in the girls 200 meter. Sophomore Carter Stevens placed 11th in the boys 800. The 4×400 team of Drew, senior Riley Jones, sophomore Margret Schnirring, and junior Abigail Li placed 10th. The girls 4×200 team of Drew, Jones, Schnirring, and sophomore Laila Kerr also competed. At the district tournament, Stevens placed second in the 800 meter, Drew placed second in the 200 meter, and the girls placed second in the 4×200 and the 4×400. Congrats on a great season, Stingers!

Boys Lacrosse competes at Sectionals

The boys varsity lacrosse team made it to the first round of the sectional tournament for a game against Bishop Fenwick. The Stingers ended the season with a record of 6-7 with big wins over Madeira, Talawanda, and Cincinnati Country Day. Great job, Stingers!
