Girls Basketball is 12-1

The girls varsity basketball team is 12-1 this season. The Stingers are 10-0 in the Miami Valley Conference and leading the Gray Division. Junior Reagan Licata is first in the MVC for blocks per game, second for rebounds per game, and fifth in points per game with 15. Senior Callie Drew is third in the league in assists, averaging four a game.

Boys bowling is 7-2

The boys varsity bowling team moves to a record of 7-2 after a 2277-2243 win over Purcell Marian. The Stingers had a rough start and fell 99 pins behind before making a 150-pin turnaround to secure the win. The Stingers are second in the Miami Valley Conference in average points with 836.8. Senior Elan Little achieved a personal record in the match against Roger Bacon, shooting a 467 across two games. He is third in the MVC, averaging 203 points a game.

Squash Wins First Ever Home Match

The varsity co-ed squash team defeated Shady Side Academy in their first home match in the program’s history played at the Wyant Family Squash Center in Stoehr Gym. The Stingers followed up their first home win with a second on Jan. 13. The girls defeated Louisville Collegiate School 5-2, and the boys won 7-0.

Stingers Swim at Southwest Ohio Classic

The varsity co-ed swimming and diving team competed at the Southwest Ohio Classic in early January, with five Stingers advancing to the finals. Junior Henry Stimson made it to the finals in the 100 backstroke and 50 freestyle. Freshman Danny Beyerbach advanced to the final of the boys 100 backstroke, and junior Josie Schneider advanced to the girls 100 backstroke. Freshman Charleigh Hayes swam in the final for the girls 50 breaststroke, and sophomore Colin McNerney competed in the boys 500 freestyle. Congrats to everyone on an excellent meet!
