Girls Basketball starts season strong

The girls varsity basketball team started its season with a record of 5-2. The team is currently second in the Miami Valley Conference Gray Division with an in-conference record of 5-1. The Stingers were up for top Ohio girls basketball team of the week from the Enquirer for winning three games in a row. Well done, Stingers!

Bowling Stingers are 4-1

Both the girls and boys varsity bowling teams are 4-1. Both defeated Roger Bacon in the home opener with senior Erin Finn leading the girls and senior Alex Petren leading the boys. Both teams and Finn and Petren earned Enquirer Top Athlete nominations for their performances. Both teams also defeated Clark Montessori, Roger Bacon again, and Taylor High School, with the boys outscoring Taylor 2,372 to 1,880.

Junior wins Kicker of the Year

Junior Rex Shaffer, who is the kicker and punter for Withrow High School’s varsity football team, was named kicker and co-punter of the year by the Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference. For Seven Hills, Shaffer is the goalkeeper on the boys varsity soccer team and had 87 saves and nine shutouts last season. Congrats, Rex!
