Upper School presents "Guys and Dolls"

Congratulations to the cast and crew of the Upper School’s “Guys and Dolls” production! “Guys and Dolls” follows the story of a New York gambler tasked with taking a stern missionary to Havana, Cuba for a bet. After shenanigans ensues, the two fall in love, and overcome their challenges together. With a boisterous, energetic cast and incredible crew, hat’s off to everyone who was a part of this amazing production. Bravo!

Students design biography posters

Upper Schoolers in art teacher Jason Knarr’s class are creating digital biography portraits of famous artists, like Andy Warhol, Clyfford Still, and Salvador Dali. Students selected an artist, and after studying their art style, crafted a poster inspired by their style in photoshop. Students experimented using different textures, layering techniques, and finding their interpretation of famous works.

Lovely tunes coming soon!

The Middle School chorus’ sixth graders performed for an audience for the first time during the Middle School preview day for Lower School fifth graders. The young performers sang songs with a great combination of humorous moments and soulful earnestness, and clearly seem ready and excited to share their skills with family in friends during their recital in December.

Lotspeich and Doherty welcome new drama teacher

The Lower Schools’ new drama teacher Natalie Bird, is creating a fun, explorative creative space for Lower School students to unlock their full theatrical potential. Doherty and Lotspeich students sharpened their improvisation skills by being different kinds of guests for dinner, from soccer players, chefs, and superheroes. The selected host would go around and guess each student’s job based on how they acted. Students would erupt with laughter and delight in trying to outwit one another with their acting prowess. Welcome to Seven Hills, Ms. Bird!
