Students named Overture Semifinalists
Congratulations to our four Overture Semifinalists! Juniors Ed Li and Mikul Wyler are Creative Writing semifinalists and junior Nathan Wang and sophomore Keliang Yao are Instrumental Music semifinalists. Finalists will be announced by Feb. 21 and the final live rounds will be held in March.
Students honored by OMEA
Congratulations to juniors Anish Patil and Celine Tan for being honored by the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) for their outstanding musical talents!
Middle School Chorus Concert
The Middle School Chorus amazed audience members in The Schiff Center in January with 14 beautiful selections that spanned languages, tugged at heartstrings, and enlivened spirits. The lively concert included the sixth graders’ performance of “Curiosity,” “Üsküdar,” and “Risseldy Rosseldy.” The seventh and eighth graders’ songs spanned traditional tunes such as “Follow the Drinking Gourd” to more modern melodies such as “I’ll Walk You Through the Rain” and “Bold Adventures.” Encore!
Upper School Chorus Concert
The Upper School Chorus performed a wide array of songs that incorporated percussion, and soloists during their winter concert. Audience members were enthralled with the vocalists’ songs, from “The Times They are A-Changin’” to “Singing, Bring Me” to “Al Shlosha D’varim.” Bravo!
