Brief Word
October 5, 2022

Once the school year gets going, it doesn’t take long to get up to highway speed.
Now just seven weeks into the new school year, we are already nearing the end of the fall sports season – congratulations, by the way, to our boys varsity soccer team and our girls varsity volleyball team, who both clinched their respective conference championships last night (!) – and are deep into rehearsals for the fifth grade musical, the Middle School play, “Shakesplosion,” and the Upper School musical, “Guys and Dolls,” as well as a host of musical and fine arts exhibitions coming up next month.
We had a wonderful Lower School Spirit Night and a fabulous Homecoming celebration with hundreds of students and their families in attendance for the Family Picnic, clinics, and fireworks display.
Our Middle and Upper School students are preparing for the end of the first quarter, finalizing a host of academic projects and explorations. Many of our seniors are deep into the college application process with some fortunate few students, getting, already, early word of acceptances.
It has, in short, been a wonderful start to the school year. Many thanks to our students and their families, our faculty and staff, and to all the community volunteers whose efforts add so much to the texture of school life.
Have a restful fall holiday. We look forward to welcoming our students back to school next Tuesday morning!
