Boys Golf Competes at State

The boys varsity golf team competed at the OSHAA State Championship in Columbus in mid-October. The team finished in sixth place with senior Jacob Joffe tying for sixth place overall. Joffe earned Second Team All Ohio honors. The tournament ended a successful season for the team. They defended their sectional title and finished runner-up at districts to qualify for the state tournament. Congratulations, Stingers!

Stinger Soccer Succeeds at Sectionals

The boys varsity soccer team defeated Felicity Franklin High School in the first round of the sectional tournament 10-0. The boys team ended the regular season with a record of 4-9-1. The girls varsity soccer team entered the sectional tournament with a #4 seed and defeated Purcell Marian High School 9-0. The team ended its regular season with a record of 7-6-1. Running on to Regionals

The boys and girls varsity cross country teams both finished strong at the district meet and qualified for regionals. Both teams finished fourth with senior Will Schneider finishing 10th and sophomore Carter Stevens coming in 12th. The teams will compete at the regional tournament on Oct. 30 with a chance to qualify for the state tournament. Good luck, Stingers!

Volleyball Ends with Winning Record

After battling through five games in the sectional semifinal match, the Seven Hills varsity volleyball team’s postseason came to an end on Oct. 20. The team ended its regular season with a 12-9 record with an impressive 10 shutouts. Freshman Annie Katuska was named Enquirer Volleyball Player of the Week in October after having 28 assists, six digs, and five kills in the Stingers’ win over Norwood High School. Senior Meg Seshiah was named Upper School Athlete of the Week in September. Thanks for a great season, Stingers!

Tennis Ends Season with Strong Districts Showing

The varsity tennis team finished with a record of 12-4. Junior Sohana Thompson and doubles teams of freshmen Sydney Schneider and Charlotte Scharfberger and seniors Wendy Woffington and Shriya Sekar qualified for and competed at the district tournament in mid-October. Thompson won her first match. Good job, Stingers!
