Athletics Department Plans Safety Measures for Winter Season
Building off of safety protocols that were implemented this fall, the Seven Hills Athletic Department is prepared to run and operate an abbreviated winter season, beginning Jan. 4, that strictly follows the Ohio High School Athletic Association and the Department of Health requirements and recommendations to ensure the safest conditions for both players and spectators. “Due to spectator restrictions, we have committed to live stream every home basketball contest so that Stinger Nation can continue to support our basketball program,” said Athletic Director Scott Willard. “Be sure to check out our social media platforms to also follow our bowling and swimming programs this winter.”

Upper Field Turf Completed
Due to warm weather this November, the new turf on the Upper Field on the Hillsdale Campus was completed in under a month. Changes to the field include the addition of girl’s lacrosse field lining, soccer lining that matches the lower field in dimension, and a large “SH” logo at midfield. “The new turf field is a welcomed site for our physical education courses, fall soccer teams, spring lacrosse teams, rental partners, and school wide event programing,” said Athletic Director Scott Willard.
Strength and Conditioning Challenge Gets Students Moving
With Upper School students in remote learning, the Athletic Department’s strength and conditioning coach and science teacher Bryce Carlson led Upper School Stingers in a challenge to motivate faculty and students to get moving. Participants enjoyed daily challenges and could win prizes for completing those challenges.
