Ready for their First Steps – Toddler/Early Childhood
For children who will be 12-24 months old in September 2021
Tuesday, March 2, 2021 1:30-2 p.m.
Toddlers are eager learners. Before you know it, they are beginning to express themselves through words, exploring new ideas in books, developing motor skills at play, and their curious minds want to know “why?” and “how?” and “what?”
For children in our Beginnings Program and Pre-k for 2-year-olds, adventure is around every corner. In creative and immersive learning environments, carefully designed curriculum allows children to engage in rich experiences to develop their motor, early language and literacy, and socialization skills—all led by our team of early childhood teacher experts.
Join Kara Meador, our early childhood director, and Andi Simon, director of admission for early childhood, to learn about the values of early childhood learning and our program options for 1- and 2-year-olds.

Making Middle School Magic – A Community within a Community
For students entering grades 6-8 for the 2021-22 school year
Wednesday, April 14, 2021 7-7:45 p.m.
The sixth, seventh, and eighth grades involve exciting transitions for young people. They’re becoming aware of their emerging individuality, firming up their beliefs, and more deeply developing their character. And, as these students are making this amazing evolution, the Seven Hills Middle School teaching team has their backs!
Guided by our educational philosophy that Middle Schoolers thrive best in environments designed just for them, our sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-graders learn and grow in dedicated spaces we call, “communities within a community.” Surrounded by empathetic classmates and teachers, students embrace opportunities to try new things and take supported risks.
Learn more about our Middle School educational philosophy and our exciting new Middle School building project from Head of Middle School Bill Waskowitz. Nancy Clark, director of admission for grades 6-12, will also be on hand to answer your questions about next steps, availability, and the admission timeline.

Each year, the National Merit Scholarship Program honors talented U.S. high school students for academic excellence. Approximately 1.5 million students from 22,000 high schools across the country enter the program.

Seven Hills Students Claim Rare Recognition with Cincinnati's Overture Awards
Three Seven Hills students are moving on to the final round of Overtures! Congratulations to senior Alex Frohn and junior Jenny Hu in the creative writing category and to senior Andrew Yang in the instrumental category. This year, the prestigious, rare recognition is even more underscored by the fact that only four students in Greater Cincinnati won in the creative writing category and Jenny and Alex are two of them, said Upper School English teacher Caleb Paull. “Jenny and Alex are remarkable writers who actually have careers as authors if they choose,” said Paull, who has taught both students in his creative writing classes. “Jenny is very actively involved in our literary magazine and it’s really a much-deserved recognition for both of them. I really think these are two students we ‘re going to see published in the future, if that is the direction in which they want to take their careers.”

Stinger Madness Begins March 1!
The seventh annual Stinger Madness, our yearly week-long community giving event will run from March 1 through March 5. We need your help to fill the hills! With your contribution to the Annual Fund, a stinger bee with your name will be placed on the hill of the campus your oldest child attends. Each division—the Lower Schools, Middle School, and Upper School—will compete to reach the highest percentage of family participation in the Annual Fund. Help your division win by making your gift before 3:15 p.m. on Friday, March 5! This year, you will also have the chance to win surprises for your child’s teachers! During the first three days of Stinger Madness, the faculty of the division with the highest percentage of parent participation will get treats. Visit www.7hills.org/stingermadness to learn more and make your gift.
