Track Starts the Season Strong

The co-ed varsity track team has had an excellent start to their season with numerous first place finishes and broken school records. 

The girls team placed first at the Deer Park and Cincinnati Country Day Invitationals. At both meets, senior Amelia Schnirring won the 100 and 200 meters, senior Claire Bachelder won the 400 meter, and junior Ava Deimling won the 300 hurdles.

Junior Campbell Coyne won the 1600 and 3200 meters at Deer Park and set a new school record in the 1600 meter at the Madeira meet. Freshman Emile Dunoye won the long jump at Madeira.

For the boys at Country Day, the 4×400 relay team of juniors Tyler Wells and seniors Thurmund Ellison, Lemuel Zyyon, and Vaughn Iyoha placed second. Zyyon also placed second in the high jump. At Deer Park, Zyyon won the high jump and senior Max Faision won the 800 meter.
