November 2, 2026
Throughout October, our Stingers fought hard to finish their seasons strong, celebrate their senior teammates, and make their mark in postseason play. Read on for highlights from our fall sports teams, postseason results, and Miami Valley Conference honors.
Boys Soccer

Highlights from October
Boys soccer opened October with a tie against upper-division league opponent Roger Bacon, followed by wins over Landmark (3-1) and Reading (7-0). The win over Landmark was especially meaningful as the Stingers celebrated eight seniors on senior night: James Anthony, Taye Britt, Beckett Ceron, Santiago Dreher, Stephen Gerhardt, Ben Leisring, Nathan Mingo, and Nikhil Hariharan.
Tournament Update
Entering the OHSAA tournament as the South’s no. 1 seed, the Stingers carried an 11-3-2 record into postseason play. They made an impressive opening statement on Saturday, Oct. 24, shutting out Miami Valley Christian Academy 8-0 at Seven Hills. The Stingers carried that momentum into the district semi-finals on Tuesday, Oct. 27, delivering another dominant 8-0 shutout against Cincinnati Country Day to advance to the district final.
On Saturday, Oct. 31, the Stingers defeated Botkins 1-0 to claim the district championship. Eleventh grade student Grafton Combs scored the game-winning goal, securing the title for the team. They now advance to the regional semi-final game against Legacy Christian Academy on Nov. 4 at Valley View High School.

Girls Volleyball
Highlights from October
Volleyball earned three league wins in October, sweeping Cincinnati Christian, Purcell Marian, and Lockland 3-0. At the Oct. 16 match against Lockland, the Stingers celebrated seniors Anju Green and Jackie Katuska. The student section brought plenty of energy, helping make it a memorable night for our seniors and the entire team.
Tournament Update
Girls volleyball battled Williamsburg at Norwood High School on Wednesday, Oct. 21, in a hard-fought opening tournament match. Each set featured competitive back-and-forth play, with the Stingers staying within reach and coming up just a few points short. Although the result wasn’t what they had hoped for, the team kept energy up throughout the match and ended their season with plenty to be proud of.

Tournament Update
Two Seven Hills doubles teams earned the opportunity to represent the Stingers at the district tournament after strong performances at sectionals. Senior Cammy Rogers and sophomore Bea Kennedy placed third, while sophomores Neela Patel and Caroline Liu finished fourth. With 30 doubles teams from 14 schools competing for just four district qualifying spots, advancing was a meaningful accomplishment for both pairs.
Co-ed Cross Country
Tournament Update
The Seven Hills cross country teams brought their A-game at the Miami Valley Conference Championships on Oct. 17, highlighted by a second-place finish for the girls team, four all-conference honorees, and a series of personal bests. Campbell Coyne earned First Team All-MVC honors, while Isabella McCloy, Emma Brandon, and VJ Ross received Second Team All-MVC recognition.
At the Southwest District Championships on Oct. 24, the girls team placed fifth and the boys captured third — advancing both teams to regionals for the first time since 2021.
At the OHSAA Cross Country Regional Championships, senior Campbell Coyne placed second, qualifying her for the OHSAA State Cross Country Championships on Nov. 7. Congratulations, Campbell!

Girl’s Golf
Although Seven Hills was unable to field a full girls golf team this fall due to roster numbers, sophomore Isabella Weir found another way to represent our school. Weir competed alongside Mason High School’s team, gaining valuable experience while continuing to represent the Seven Hills community.
Weir made an impressive impact throughout the season and postseason, helping Mason secure a third-place team finish at sectionals while leading the team individually with a fifth-place finish. She continued her strong performance at the Division I OHSAA District Tournament, finishing 19th in a five-way tie. Congratulations to Weir on a successful season and these outstanding accomplishments!
Middle School and Youth Athletics

The future is bright for Seven Hills athletics! Our Youth Athletics and Middle School program had a rewarding fall season across soccer, golf, tennis, cross country, and girls volleyball. These programs provide valuable opportunities for our younger Stingers to build confidence, learn the importance of teamwork, and grow their love of the game while laying the foundation for future success on our Upper School teams.
