Seven Hills Cross Country Teams Race to Double Victory at Home Invitational

Homecoming weekend ended on a high note for the Seven Hills cross country program, with both the boys and girls varsity cross country teams claiming first place at the Seven Hills Invitational.

Seniors VJ Ross and Campbell Coyne each earned individual first-place finishes.

VJ crossed the finish line in the boys 5,000-meter race with a time of 19:56.8, making him the only runner to finish in under 20 minutes.

Campbell won the girls race in 20:33.1.

The Stingers had not seen both varsity teams come away with the home invitational titles in some time, giving the program yet another reason to celebrate.

“Winning both team titles at our own invitational made this a special day for the program,” Coach Luckie said. “VJ and Campbell set the pace, and the runners behind them helped turn those individual victories into team wins.”
