Lower Schoolers Get Sneak Peek at New Building

The Doherty and Lotspeich kindergarten through fifth grade students graced the red carpet and were given the Hollywood treatment as they got an exclusive look at the new Doherty Lotspeich Lower School through a flythrough rendering video.
“This event combines two of my favorite things: school and the movies,” Head of School Matt Bolton told the students at the premiere.
The arrival of the students was captured by their classmates, stepping into the role of reporters and photographers, to interview them about their thoughts on the new Lower School.
Students decorated their own Walk of Fame stars before hearing from Head of School Matt Bolton and watching the video, while they enjoyed popcorn.
“Lower Schoolers were some of the first and most important designers of our new school building, who worked with the architects last year,” Bolton said. “We learned so much from those sessions and everything we learned shows up in the final version of the new school building.”
