Lotspeich Hives Make Valentines for College Alumni

During their January meeting, Lotspeich Hives worked in groups of three to craft heartfelt Valentine messages for Seven Hills alumni in college. 

“This activity supports students in practicing empathy and perspective-taking by connecting them to alums navigating an often challenging period of transition,” Assistant Head of Lotspeich Danielle Necessary said. “The hope is that it reinforces our shared responsibility for sustaining a sense of belonging across the Seven Hills community.”

Hive members in third through fifth grade practiced leadership and kindness by helping younger peers come up with ideas for the cards and writing.

Kindergarten through second grade practiced sharing their ideas and learning how to ask for help as needed. 

The valentines will be mailed inside care packages sent by the Development Office in early February.
