Doherty Unit I Practices Rhythm

Doherty music teacher Jon Newlie led Unit I students through the “Haunted Egg Shaker” song, which strengthened students’ sense of rhythm.
The song is about a haunted egg shaker that can sense ghosts and will make a sound when a ghost is near.
At different times, students hid their egg shakers in their hands to hide them from ghosts.
The students’ favorite part of the song was passing the egg shakers around in their circle, because it meant a ghost was close!
