Doherty Brings Doherty Alumni Together for Homecoming Pep Rally
October 5, 2026
On the Friday of Homecoming weekend, Doherty kicked off the morning with their annual schoolwide pep rally in the driveway, bringing students of all ages together for music, dancing, and plenty of Stinger spirit.

Nearly 30 Upper School students — all Doherty alumni — attended and assisted with the celebration. Junior Eli Kampel got his chance on the mic, pumping up the crowd for the weekend ahead, and Upper School cheerleaders taught students the “Stinger Rumble.”
The rally quickly turned into a dance party, with students and faculty joining in to “YMCA” and other music. Young Stingers waved colorful scarves through the air as they danced, then older students got a chance to show off their skills with a hula hoop.
Upper School students played an important role throughout the morning, encouraging younger students to join in and feel comfortable partaking in the festivities. Whether dancing alongside them or helping transition between activities, the older students kept the positive energy flowing.
The rally also included some special members of the Doherty community. William Snakespeare and Cruz joined the event, while Sting spent the morning greeting students and handing out high-fives.
