Books for Lunch

On Feb. 6, bestselling author Ariel Lawhon met with Upper School students on the Hillsdale Campus in the morning to discuss her writing process and inspiration for her works before meeting parents, alumni, and friends of Seven Hills during Books for Lunch at The Lightwell at North by Hotel Covington.
The mid-day snowfall added to the day’s festivities, as Books for Lunch attendees drove across the frozen Ohio River to arrive at the venue. During the gathering, Lawhon discussed how she used her personal experiences to better understand the characters she was writing, and iterated how anyone can become a writer given they spend time researching and honing their skills.
