Black Student Union Brings Soul Food to Campus
March 2, 2026
In honor of Black History Month, the Upper School Black Student Union sponsored the annual Soul Food Lunch for Middle and Upper School students.
Leaders of the Black Student Union presented an Upper School all-school meeting, explaining the importance of Black History Month and food in particular. Soul food has been a way to celebrate Black cultural heritage by expressing their pride in their identity through food. It also promotes community, culture, and is tied to the social and political lives of Black people.
The food for the event was donated by Seven Hills families.
