Students Learn about HBCUs from Panel

April 6, 2026

The Upper School’s Black Student Union (BSU) hosted a lunch and learn panel for parents and family members of Seven Hills students to share their experiences at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Students were able to ask questions about student life, the transition to an HBCU, and how their experience has benefited the panelists.

Junior Tyler Wells was one of the students from the BSU who moderated the panel.

“HBCUs have always been a place of excellence and resilience, and this panel showed us as students that the institutions aren’t just part of history, they shape the future of leadership,” Wells said. “The panelists gave us students great insight into life at an HBCU.”
