Latin Students Competed in Annual Seven Hills Certamen

Seven Hills Middle and Upper School Latin students hosted and competed in the Certamen competition on Saturday, Jan. 31.

Certamen is a quiz bowl style game with Classics themed questions, covering Latin grammar and vocabulary; Roman history, culture, and mythology; and English derivatives of Latin words.

Seven Hills students set up each competition room and then competed on teams of four, at three different levels, against Latin students from Indian Hill, Madeira, Mariemont, Summit Country Day, Sycamore, St. Xavier, and Walnut Hills.
