HOSA Shines at Regionals, Qualifies for State

Following a standout performance at the regional HOSA competition, 25 Upper Schoolers will compete at the state competition in April.
HOSA, Health Occupation Students of America, competitions are designed to motivate HOSA members and highlight what they have learned in health, science, and biomedical sciences.

Students who placed fourth or higher at the regional competition will move on to the state competition.
- Juniors Emma Hassell and Maya Little placed first in CERT Skills, with juniors Elsa Guo and LaShelle Lane placing second.
- Juniors Ariana Chaudhry and Avery Wang placed first in EMT.
- Juniors Clayton Bust, Sakshum Vij, and Jason Zhou and sophomore Mia Wang placed first in HOSA Bowl.
- Senior Noah Ring placed first in nursing assisting.
- Seniors Jiya Bikhchandani, Valarie Deyer, Maxwell Faison, Lamari Lewis, Greg Richardson, and Maria Schaefer placed first in public service.
- Senior Charlotte Buchholz placed second in home health aide.
- Junior Irene Zhang placed second in medical math.
- Sophomore Aiden Yang placed second in medical terminology.
- Junior Vibu Ramineni placed third in clinical laboratory science.
- Sophomores Nikhila Puri and Sahana Siddharth placed third in medical innovation.
- Sophomore Hasika Avanigadda placed third in pharmacology.
- Sophomore Josephine Burroughs placed fourth in nutrition.
Other HOSA students will be attending the HOSA States Leadership Conference, competing in states only competition and attending leadership workshops.
